
CARILLO RECREATION CENTER. Renovation and seismic retrofit of a one and two-story wood framed structure with brick veneer built in 1913. Lateral analyses of the structure were performed using both the requirements of ASCE 41-06 and the California State Historic code. Based upon the intended used of the structure and the budget for construction, it was decided upon to use the California State Historic Code as a basis for the design of the retrofit.

CITY OF SANTA BARBARA - FIRE STATION #1. This project consists of the renovation of an existing 8,500 SF concrete shearwall structure, with a wood-framed roof supported by long-span steel trusses. The lateral analysis is based on the requirement of ASCE 41-06 for existing structures.

SANTA PAULA MILL & DEPOT. Seismic retrofit and renovation of two historic structures in Santa Paula built in the early 1900's. The first is a 2-story, 2,300 wood-framed railroad depot. The second is a 12,000 SF old mill that was converted to a museum.
