THE GRANADA THEATRE. The project consisted of the renovation and seismic retrofit of a performing arts theater in downtown Santa Barbara. Included in the renovation was a complete demolition and redesign of the stage area, a new basement under the existing floor seating area, and a new attic catwalk system. Both the design and construction were performed in conjunction with the seismic retrofit of the attached 8-story Granada Tower. Originally construction in the 1920's, the lightly-reinforced concrete structure adds significant historical presence to the City of Santa Barbara.
